Questions, answered
Does it need SMS or Call Log permission?
No. Ingenious Notifications uses Android notification-listener access after a prominent disclosure. Contacts permission is requested only if you turn on contact-based filtering.
Can it change what a message actually says?
It is built to preserve meaning, and when a generated summary is not safe enough the app falls back to reading the original message instead.
Does anything leave my phone?
Not if you use the offline local model. Cloud modes send message text to the provider you chose, and that choice is always yours to make.
