File Classifier

One intelligent app for all your files.

A Windows app for organizing, finding, editing, and researching files, email, and PDFs. It is an Ingenious application, not a Control Center workspace or optional module.

From input to outcome

A clearer path through the work.

  • Sorts years of accumulated files into a clean, consistent structure you can actually navigate.

  • Copy-first by default, so nothing is moved, renamed, or deleted until you approve it.

  • Search across filename, content, category, extension, and date in one pass instead of five.

  • Ask a question in plain English and get an answer with the source documents attached.

  • Search your Gmail alongside your files, including attachments, from the same box.

  • Open, preview, edit, and sign PDFs without leaving the workspace.

Trust and control

Designed around practical results.

  • Every answer cites the files it came from, so you can verify it rather than trust it.
  • The default mode only ever copies. Destructive operations require an explicit confirmation.
  • Packaged Windows builds ship with versioned release artifacts and checksums.
  • Support bundles, update checks, and licensing run through the Ingenious Tools portal.

Questions, answered

Will it move or delete my files?

Not unless you tell it to. File Classifier is copy-first: it builds the organised structure alongside your originals, and destructive actions need explicit confirmation.

Do my documents get uploaded anywhere?

File indexing and organisation run locally on your machine. AI answering uses the provider you configure, and you decide which folders are in scope.

How does the Gmail search work?

You sign in with Google and grant read access. Messages and attachments then appear in the same result tables as your local files.
