Use the Earth Talk button or type a question on your phone, then read or hear the answer. The app supports English, Spanish, French, German and Simplified Chinese.
Compatible with Android phones and Android Auto. Use the car interface for local music, nearby places, weather and radar; complete setup and account actions on the phone while parked.
Find places with numbered category icons and hand the selected destination to Maps. Download available place packs before travel for offline searches within their coverage.
Check weather and forecasts where supported. Animate recent radar frames, adjust the phone precipitation opacity and return to your saved radar zoom. Current weather and radar require internet access.
Browse and play music stored on your phone, with playback controls and now-playing information.
Register once through Google Play for $2.99 in the US. Registered Local AI has no monthly subscription or per-answer charge. Download a supported Gemma model or import a compatible file you already have.
Optional Ingenious Premium is $9/month in the US for 100 successful actions per billing period, without rollover. Ingenious manages the provider and model; no customer provider account or API key is needed.
Choose Premium as primary or as a fallback after a local error, uncertainty, waiting limit or optional minimum reply length. AI can make mistakes; review an answer before relying on it.
Get updates through Google Play, including a Settings update check and an explicit restart after an in-app update downloads. Report an answer by reviewing its content and choosing to send it to support.
Trust and control
Designed around practical results.
- Local model inference stays on your phone. Premium sends the question through Ingenious and its AI providers only when enabled as primary or fallback.
- Premium is optional after registration. Unused Premium actions do not roll over; manage or cancel renewal in Google Play.
- Internet access is needed for account linking, registration, purchase restoration, periodic access verification and online features.

Does it work on both a phone and Android Auto?
Yes. Use voice or typed questions with visible and spoken answers on your Android phone. Connect to a compatible Android Auto system for music, places and weather controls. Available controls and voice input depend on the phone, speech service and head unit. Complete setup, downloads, purchases and permissions on the phone while parked.
What works without a signal?
After setup, registered Local AI can generate answers on the phone, downloaded place packs support searches within their coverage, and music stored on the phone can play locally. Offline speech recognition depends on your device. Current weather, radar, Premium and navigation services may need internet access. Registration, restoration and periodic access verification require a connection.
Do I need a Premium subscription?
No. After the one-time registration, you can keep using Local AI without a monthly or per-answer charge. Premium requires registration, an active subscription, internet access and available actions. Google Play shows the final local price and renewal terms before purchase.
Can I use an existing model file?
Yes. Choose a compatible Gemma model file already on your phone during setup. The app imports and checks the file; you do not need to download it again.
Is conversation history saved?
History is stored on the phone by default. You can disable it or clear it in Settings. Premium replies may be temporarily cached by Ingenious to prevent duplicate charges on retries; see the privacy policy.
How do I get the latest version?
The current 1.1.14 internal build is available to enrolled Google Play testers. Use the same enrolled Google account in Play to install or update it. The app also offers Check for updates and Open Google Play in Settings. Public release is pending closed testing and Google Play review; it is not yet offered for general sale.
